Our bathroom remodeling service includes a luxury steam shower installation with the highest quality waterproofing membranes in the industry, so you are assured of a reliable, trustworthy, and leak-free steam shower & steam room installation that meets your expectations.

The next time you want to renovate your bathroom, consider the healthful qualities of a luxury steam room or steam shower instead of the usual shower installation. Included in the price is custom tile installation!

Our tile installers remodel showers in many styles, from walk-in showers to wheelchair-accessible or roll-in showers, as well as tub-to-shower conversion, including curbless showers.

We build ADA-compliant showers that offer easy access and dependable function along with pleasing aesthetics.

Here's the process:

  • DEMO WORK - We will demo your existing shower or bathtub down to the studs and sub-floor.

  • FRAMING - Next, we will do the framing necessary to enlarge your new shower to accommodate a shower bench and a pitched ceiling.

  • INSULATION - We will insulate (if necessary) the walls and ceiling to make sure that your new shower will retain the heat.

  • PLUMBING - ELECTRICAL The next steps to be taken. The steam unit must have a dedicated line to power the unit and an exhaust fan will need to be installed and vented outside. The new shower drain most often needs to be moved to compensate for the shower bench. The shower valves and plumbing are installed.

  • WALLBOARD - SHOWER PAN INSTALLATION All of the shower pans that we install are cement poured.

  • WATERPROOFING - This step is the most critical aspect of a steam shower installation project. We only install the most reliable and tested membranes on the market today. Like Laticrete Hydro Ban and Schluter-Kerdi.

  • TILE INSTALLATION - Most tiles sold today can be used in a steam shower however your best choice would be a non-porous tile such as Porcelain, Ceramic, or Glass tiles.

  • GLASS DOORS - We don't install but we know a lot who do!

  • Denver Glass Interiors - L & L Glass - ASAP Glass

SOME THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND -

More and more people in Parker, Co have come to realize the real health benefits of a steam shower or steam room installation. With all of the stress so common today a respite from the times is welcome and a steam shower installation offers relaxing bliss in just 20 minutes!

WHAT STEAM UNIT SHOULD I PURCHASE? - Research your steam generator before you buy. Some people have bought what seems to be an affordable steam unit for their bathrooms only to be unable to use them because the steam units were malfunctioning. Causing problems that require fixing. If they can be fixed. And necessitating finding the right people to service your units. Some Steam Generator Options to consider - THERMASOL - STEAMIST

WILL A WINDOW WORK IN A STEAM SHOWER? - Yes, it is possible. As long as your window is a double-pane window. Most newer homes do have double pane. No heat out and no cold in.

IS INSULATION OF THE STEAM SHOWER NECESSARY? - Yes, especially when the walls or ceiling is an exterior wall. Insulation ensures that the heat remains in the shower and doesn't escape outside and guards against a cold chill coming in.

WHAT ABOUT A SMALL SHOWER, CAN A BENCH BE BUILT? - That's a tough one. After all, you need to sit down to relax while in the steamer. One option is to build a corner seat in the shower. Or buying a folding seat to save space.

Parker Cement Poured Shower Pans

We trowel the cement poured pans using dry-pack mud, aiming to ensure proper drainage to the shower drain at the rate of 1/4" per ft.

Parker Schluter Shower Pan

Water is filled into the Schluter shower pan before the tile is laid onto the shower floor, so the pan can be tested for leaks.

Parker Tile Shower Pan

Next, the tile is installed directly on the Schluter/Kerdi shower pan membrane and grouted.

Typically, shower pans are tiled last so that the cement cures completely. The tile installation starts with the walls and ceiling.

TILE INSTALLATION for STEAM ROOMS & STEAM SHOWERS

Any kind of tile will work for a steam room or steam shower tile installation however, there are still variations in each of these tiles when it comes to the heat efficiency of the steam generator that will be installed in your bathroom shower installation project.

Ceramic and glass tiles are followed by porcelain tiles as the most efficient tiles that are non-porous and do a good job of retaining the heat that is generated. Installing natural stone requires more care, such as sealing it every year or two, depending on how often the steam unit is used. However, it may be wiser to select a non-porous tile for larger steam rooms or steam showers.

The steam shower featured is a 13x24 porcelain wall tile that is set horizontally with the grout lines matching in straight lines. The ceiling and shower floor are tiled with natural stone tiles. Because the steam shower is smaller than most showers the minimum use of stone tiles mainly on the ceiling does not affect the efficiency of the steam generator whereas a larger unit could be affected in a negative way.

No matter which steam room or steam shower installation update you choose, Action Shower Pan & Steam Shower Company will install your tile with careful attention to all surfaces and details. We have 40 years of experience in tile installation and bathroom remodeling that we use on every project we do to create a safe, secure, and beautiful steam room & shower installation.
