The tile backer board comes with the waterproofing already installed at the factory. Only the inside corners and seams need to be sealed.
This porcelain tile is an excellent selection. It is non-porous and low maintenance which makes it easy to keep it clean
With the tub out and the wallboard up. The shower drain is centered and floor underlayment is installed.
The new Schluter ABS shower is installed and the drypack mud is floated to the shower floor underlayment.
Once the shower pan cement has had enough time to be fully cured the waterproofing can be installed.
The Kerdi membrane installation is attached with thinset and the air and any excess thin set is smoothed out out the seams for a water tight seal.
